About Emily Hall
Emily joined the DMZ in 2020 as the Special Projects Ambassador for the Niagara Falls TMU Innovation Hub, where she assists in the planning, execution, and implementation of numerous projects. Emily will also be a team mentor for the student entrepreneurship program Basecamp. Heavily involved in mentorship throughout her time in higher education, working at the DMZ is the next step for Emily to gain more hands-on experience in program planning and startup culture.
In May 2019, Emily graduated from Sheridan College with an honours bachelor’s degree in Photography and is now an MA candidate in TMU’s Masters of Digital Media program. Her thesis is structured around virtual reality in higher education and is currently building a ‘choose your own adventure’ style game aimed at human resource management training. Emily has worked in many graduate and student teaching roles at Sheridan College, U of T, and Toronto Metropolitan University in both creative and business industry classroom settings which have given her insight on this project.
Emily has been through the 100 Steps to Startup program and worked alongside Dr. Sean Wise in his creature venture startup course, acting as a mentor to sixty students at a time throughout their startup journey.
Ever since 2015, Emily has also run her own freelance photography business.Get to know Emily Hall
