About Merziya Hussain
As the Marketing & Communications Ambassador, Merziya supports the DMZ’s Marketing & Communications team in creating and implementing various marketing strategies to build awareness of the DMZ’s brand whilst providing administrative assistance to PR communications.
With over three years of experience in the digital media industry, Merziya has worked on social media coordination, creative direction and marketing projects with brands like Adobe, Discovery Inc, Ford and The Ottawa Senators.
Born and raised in Dubai, Merziya moved to Canada at the age of 12 and has a unique appreciation for various cultures and backgrounds. Her experience in digital marketing has helped her create successful campaigns and engaging content that resonates with vast audiences. When Merziya isn’t at work, she’s either shopping, travelling or watching trashy reality TV (she’s a sucker for Love is Blind). To balance it out, she is also an avid reader and loves a good suspense-filled novel (her current read is The Stranger by Albert Camus).
